Faces of the Cloud Forest
FACES OF THE CLOUD FOREST
Deep in the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, Southwestern Uganda, growing conflict with people puts the local population of Mountain Gorillas at risk. In her struggle to protect them, one veterinarian discovers that the similarities between the two communities threaten to destroy them both. This short film follows the invaluable work of Dr Gladys Kalema Zikusoka, renowned Ugandan veterinarian & United Nations’ Champion of the Earth, as she pioneers a holistic approach to mountain Gorilla conservation that could save this critically threatened species. Her organisation Conservation Through Public Health works tirelessly to improve the lives of Gorilla & Human alike, so that all inhabitants of the forest benefit.
